Third Street Aleworks took home an impressive 2 Gold Awards at the World Beer Cup this year. Building on the success of two of our oldest and most highly acclaimed beers: Annadel Pale Ale, and Blarney Sisters’ Dry Irish Stout, Brewmaster Randy Gremp and Asst. Brewer Tyler Lavery really hit it out of the park! The World Beer Cup is a bi-annual international competition widely recognized as the most competitive professionally judged beer competition in the world. As always, there were a lot of truly outstanding beers entered in these two categories, and we are honored to have our beers ranked among them.
Annadel Pale Ale took the Gold Award in the category of “Classic English-Style Pale Ale”, and Blarney Sisters’ Dry Irish Stout took the Gold Award in the category of “Classic Irish-Style Dry Stout”. Annadel Pale Ale last took the Gold Award at the World Beer Cup way back in 2002, and has also taken a Gold and a Bronze at the Great American Beer festival (in 2002, and 2001 respectively). Blarney Sisters’ Dry Irish Stout took the Gold Award twice before (2002 and 2008) as well as a Silver Award in 2004. Additionally, Blarney Sisters’ also previously took two Bronze Medals (2004, 2007) and three Gold Medals (2002, 2003, and 2008) at The Great American Beer Festival.
